Portfolio production
Portfolio Production is an art program for our students with special needs. This class has been created to bridge the gap between students with special needs and the mainstream student. By providing student mentors to work collaboratively with students with special issues, they’re by allowing them to adapt to the school and society in general. The student mentors are drawn from AP Studio Art, IB Art, JROTC and GW’s student athletes.
Using student mentors helps the student with special needs acclimate and become socially more responsive. While helping those students, the mainstream student grows in their understanding of societies need of accepting disabilities.
All students will work together creating art and developing a portfolio of their art as a final product.
